We have SWG now. My hunny plays it a lot and I have two characters I play on it. I am:
Dae-Dae on Flurry server
Daetana on Scrylla server
They wouldn't let me have Daemona Sin like you mean it!

I played SWG in beta for a month, and hated it frankly. It wasn't intuitive, crafting was immensely complex - and needed for everything. Simple creatures killed me, and it was very difficult to "talk" to anyone.
I still to this day play counter strike some, and am waiting for Diablo2 to release a new patch. That should pull me from there for a while.
Half-Life 2, and Homeworld 2, will pull me away from there a *great* deal, when they are released.
Keep there on the back burner Dae. Seriously. Even if it's just to log in every 2 weeks and renew your auctions. (Click picture for Club links and Galleries! )

I did Planetside for a bit, then dropped it. Same junk, day after day. Got back into AO, tried the Shadowlands beta, same old AO, same crap, day after day. Bought SWG. Developed a burning hatred of it within 3 days - still trying to get my money back. I don't think I'm going to be able to spend 5 hours a night in a MMOG any more. Time to grow up At least There is different. Jump in. Fool around. Jump out. Maybe get some hot cybering going on and stay logged in until 4am.. or get bored and log out after 10 minutes. No pressure to compete with anyone for anything.

I play an awful lot of Battlefield 1942 online. It's fun enough, especially with the new patch that helps curb the rampant cheating that occurs in games like this. And DSX (for once) is completely right in his anticipation for Half Life 2. I will wet my pants the moment it is released (purple people have poor bladder control.)

I've been addicted to Ragnarok Online for over a week, and now I got re-addicted to < Alleycat >. With all of these recent addictions There have been pushed abit to the side, although it was never really in the center.
For now Alleycat owns my soul. (Well, rented. I'm expensive.)

Ok you HAVE to make a character on the Scylla server and go to NABOO!!!! That is where I am and I have a pretty sweet system down.
Since noone ever heals dancers I said f that and now I do missions. Here is what I do:
Get two missions to the same city, like 8K to 13K miles away. (while at the missions terminals you can click "refresh missions" to keep getting new lists of missions with higher credits paid amounts and different destinations.) Andway I like to get two missions that pay close to 800 credits each (these are just delivery missions.) Then I go pick up the item I have to deliver and go to the shuttleport to purchase my ticket. The tickets cost anywhere from 110 - 235. But you're getting 1600 when you get there. Then once I've ported over, collected my money, I grab two missions and head somewhere else.
Note: You can become part of the Imperial or Rebel faction once you have gained a certain number of faction points. I think I have 20 something Imperial faction points so far. you get these by completing missions from the blue Imperial Missions Terminals. I go to Kaadara on Naboo to get my Imperial Delivery Missions Sin like you mean it!

Hey if you know something I don't please PM me! my two characters are going for different skill sets and either would be fun as a Jedi
Daetana is an artisan/scout/brawler/entertainer/medic, she will be mastering Tailoring and Dancer ( I WANT those exotic flourishes!!! She is minoring in scout and brawler and I want to make her an Imperial.
Dae-Dae is a scout/artisan who will be mastering armour building and creature handling. Haven't chosen a faction for her yet Sin like you mean it!

I've unfortunatly heard some bad things about SWG ...
Personaly, I have little interest in it and from what I've heard, I have no want to even try. For my Star Wars fix, I still play Jedi Knight 2. I realy is a great game and the saber fights are just increadible. If anyone here plays, I'd be more then willing to participate in a little duel with them, if they're interested.
Other games, I'm still with the old Half Life engine playing < Natural-Selection >. For those of you who don't know and might care, it blends both Real Time Stratigy gaming with First Person Shooters. The marines have a "commander" who plays the game in a RTS format, issuing waypoints, dropping equipment, ammo, health, weapons, buildings, researching upgrades ... all the good RTS type stuff. But the twist is, the people hes in control of are actual human beings, not computer controled units. It creates a very interesting game. The other team are the Kharaa - or the Alien Team. They're geared more towards a DM type of game style, while the marines are geared more towards a teamplay style. Theres 5 classes on the Alien team, including builders, support units, guerilla units - and theres even a massive tank unit named "Onos" (Think "Oh no..." lol).
Anyway, its increadibly fun and a great change of pace. I'm currently beta testing NS 2.0 and its just .. wonderfull. Awesome, awesome game.
I've also been known to play a bit of America's Army and Unreal Tournament 2k3. However, the majority of my time is spent playing JK2, There and Natural Selection.
... but I being poor, have only my dreams. I have spread my dreams under your feet. Tread softly, becuase you tread on my dreams.

i didn't leave there, but i've been playing freelancer online for the past few nights. You are an Intrepid-class Scout, Starfleet's frontline sentry. You're a bit of an enigma. Your grace and intelligence may go unnoticed, but people rely on you for your insight and ability.

Well, let's see....
I left Toontown Online to come to There.
I won't be leaving There anytime soon...as I don't play one online or stand-along game exclusively. I have seen too many people burn out concentrating on only 1 game at at time.
I currently am playing in order of time spent: Real Life Dark Ages of Camelot (Guinevere server) There Neverwinter Nights (so many modules, so little time) The Realm Illusia Vampire: The Masquerade Jedi 2

Me and Mux are gonna get SWG soon.
I also signed up for URU (Myst) Online, but to be honest, it's taking so long, I'm not sure that URU is going to happen. There 4 All - Community Journal http://there4all.thereinperson.com

I just recently inherited a copy of SWG. i'm "Moonlight Sonata" on the Wanderhome server. I may Major her as a Pistoleer and Creature handler, with a few ranger skills. The game in itself seems to be fairly easy, since i farmed over 50k credits soloing and I can solo with litle to no problem (of course it helps that i've had previous training in other similar online rpgs). I haven't joined a faction yet, just seems safer bieng neutral since i want to explore a bit more. Last thing I need is to get ambushed by a PK happy player.
Only problem i have with it is people seem to over estimate certain class/race combos and underestimate others. (i'm a Twi'lek, guess they are best suited dancing around in cantinas ). Can't seem to find a group for the life of me, nor am I able to motivate people to start one, yet that Wookie marksman can top out a party of 20 (getting Everquest deja vu for some reason). Doh well, I'll be getting my creature taming ability soon enough anyway, and I can solo yellow (creatures) too. "Believe in the ideal, not the idol."

Yeah the aqualoco I play on the flurry server is a female twilek, trying to get master in marksman and scout. Though I do have dancing 1 and dance healing 1. It is hard for me to find a group to take me though. Everyone says I should specialize in dancing instead. I just want to play a twilek bounty hunter. I was playing a female avatar in there, before it was cool.

Funny thing is I can outdamage anyone who's in my group. I only wear torso, hand and foot armor so I still retain most of my agility when dodging shots and melee attacks.
I just got my trapper title and can now kite around yellows and some reds with little to no problem (with the snare trap). Which I may do from now on since everytime I do group I do so much damage that I'm the first one who gets incapacitated or killed.
I don't get underestimated as much as I used to ever since a bunch of people saw me fend off 8 thugs singlehandedly in the Naboo city, Moenia. It's kind of ironic though, When I was soloing I never once got killed, and was only incapacitated 2 times. Now that I'm grouping I went through all 3 of my free deaths and died 4 more times In the same group. Go figure.
But either way, any race/class combo has the potential to be the best, every race has it's advantages and disadvantages. "Believe in the ideal, not the idol."

I dont like games that want monthly fees, they will never be a part of my life no matter how good they may be,unless the fees were reasonable. some companies profit margin seems to put the telephone company in the shade.
