Hi KittenKat, That screen shot looks incredible! But, could you explain it a little. Since the patch is coming from your site, I wonder what it is doing. What files is it changing? Will the whole world look like snow, or just one island? I assume that I will see the snow, but someone with me would not see the same scene unless they also install the patch? The patch replaces image files and some settings files, which are all backed up by the installer so that it is easy to do a clean uninstall. It is also easy and fast to switch back and forth between snow and non-snow modes. Other people will also have to download the patch to see it. Most of There is covered in snow, except for Saja. you know what would make a member for life.. (oh wait I am a member forlife) Well what would make a GLAD to be a member for life.. :P
if there, as a gift, to us all made it snow in There on Christmas..
Call me sapppy.. but to see snow falling on Christmas.. and yes, I know that would be damn near impossible, but that's what wouldmake it so special... and would make up all the frustration and the annoyance..

is it just my tired squinty eyes or is that snow onthe trees and plants too?! Amazing!

Mostly because I suspect the There Client can't easily be told to download and replace bitmaps.
Still it might provide a little motivation for them to look at what they can do to create a little more variety in world without a huge amount of effort. (esp since Kittenkat’s already done most of the bitmaps

but the best has to be the snow on the BRB goggles...I get so dang sick of looking at those things and now they are alittle festive.
 any chance we could get the goggles with flashing lights and garland?

This is without a doubt the most incredible thing to happen to There in a while, I was so bored with the game I'd even started playing TSO again  but this gives me reason to explore again with mah Methy Thanks so much KK. Wow!!! I've been waiting for this and can't wait to download it! OK..I'm not very good with computers so can someone give me a quick clue what to do...do I download it and save it to desktop or to I save in in the There folder??? 
I hope the There people see this and make their own snow covered island with snowboarding and snowmobiling..that would be so great..and snowballs as well, and snowmen..oh man, I could go on forever!!!

Parker, you dont even have to put it anywhere special, unless you have installed There in some unique or different folder location. The installer is very slick, and even gives you the option to install it without "applying the snow" yet. You also don't need to uninstall it completely to remove the snow, you just run the uninstall with the option to remove the snow. Then, whenever you feel the need for snow again, you can just put it back.
I am still amazed at how much this changed our world, and how it seems to work perfectly everywhere I went. I am beyond impressed.

ok, i LOVE this patch. because of the single texture for the ground, there's no more lag for me, as my computer doesn't have to load all the different textures.
i will definatly keep this as long as i have this crappy 866 mhz pentium 3, and maybe even if i build or get a new computer.

If you guys didn't get this patch yet, you should try it. It's really easy to disable if you want the greenery back.

Very cool. Excellent job!! Has anyone shown this to There reps yet? Might give them some ideas. Ive always thought There would be so much more appealing if we could have some sort of change of season. Thanks for the hard work on this snow patch. I will be enjoying it for the next few months :P
