 I spawned into a near empty Karuna one late Saturday night on Jan 25, 03 after watching over UJ (Unclejohns) shoulder for a week! Tee hee I was sooo lucky to have met Josie,Bobita228and then Spliff... Still great friends I am glad to say!

Tinyang was the first person i met and thank god i did! I was so lost, couldn't even figure out how to walk..lol. She helped me change my look, even gave me clothes! She still is the first person I "call" when I can't figure something out..yes, i've been playing since Aug. and still have questions

I spawned, walked a little bit, VV walks up. "HI. I'm giving away free raffle tickets."
About a minute later she was calling out some raffle number. I was confused as all git. I think she eventually figured out I must have had it by process of elimination. I won a "Student Driver" buggy.
I had a buggy within about 4 minutes of arriving in there before I even figured out anything.

I have no idea where I spawned to. I know I ended up in a club and met Yugo, he was/is a helper. He pulled my name from a list and give me a book that is supposed to answer all my questions. I still have not looked at it.
I only recently ran into him at Zypher. Turns out he is a high school student. At first I thought he was like a god. 
Right after that I met Sugarie and I still bug the crud out of her! She was a great help and took me to the Spa. BOINCer, but you may call me Bo

The_Geek was the first person I met....I was a newb and he took me under his wing, taught me how to walk, showed me a couple of places, etc, and finally I was able to pay him back but a small bit by cheering him on in the Mr There contest, which he won! ''yay

Besides my helper MBonilla13, I met Wesley222 and Glitterophelia my first night. I was in white and tans, and I saw them both in amazing outfits and hair... and I wanted to be just like them!

first person i who i really talked to and who helped me out was HUGSaLOT.. gave me my first hair and answered so many questions! and there there was Ary, who gave me the grand tour and helped me save tons of spots on my first night... much love girlie!
let's see, other firsts.. first party was hosted by phantium, first club was groovyness (  w00t! ), first therefling was sketcher (straight-edge and christian, wtf was i thinking?!? lol)... wow. can't believe i remember all this after four months. scuse me, gonna retreat and reminisce..

I remember being all excited when my brand-new There was opening for the first time. Then I was in a green place with some trees and huts farther off. (Typical, right? Could have been anywhere) I rotated my avie in a full circle. Then I stood for a while and wondered what I should do now? Then some people walked by. One looked just like me and one had cool clothes and hair. I saw the words "newbie" and "change look" and "Spa" floating above their heads. I was so lost that I just followed them and was like: "I'm new too and have no idea whats up can you take me along?". And they did. They were really nice too.
I dont rember their names though. This was because Greeter_Vash summoned me about 10 minutes later when I was in the Spa and I just clicked Accept and never saw the people who helped me again. 
So Greeter_Vash is the first person who's name I remember. The second and third is Virtual_Vikki and Disky. They had come to talk to Greeter_Vash who was leaving to meet his next class, and when he poofed away they pretty much continued the Tour for me. Vikki took me to some places and Egypt. And when I said I had heard of the "Famous Designer Virtual_Vikki" before I even got into the game (from this forum probably) she gave me a shirt! Ookay, so it was just an "Adept Socializer" shirt, (which is pretty funny cause I was new! but I didnt know and didnt care, and it made me really happy to have TWO shirts!!!  Never Knows Best...

Well, when I first got on, I goofed off by myself for about 3 days only talking randomly to a few people. This is normal for me when playing a new multiplayer game... just get myself learning how to do stuff. I was never contacted by a greeter or helper or anything (I was suprised to learned such things existed later). Anywho, the first people I actually remember hanging out with and being helped by would be Rosie, Melynn, and Kieran_Surfpuff. I had just decided to go to an event cus I figured some social interaction would be good. I popped over to Rosie's house because it seemed to have just few enough people for me not to be too shy. Anywho, while there Rosie learned that Kieran and I were kinda new to the game, so she took us around on a tour of places. Melynn caught up to us in the middle, I believe we were at Bali Hai at the time and she tagged along as well. After that I pretty much hung out at Rosie's all the time. Didn't talk to Melynn much for a while, but then a chance meeting at Aero Lounge and another one the next day got us hanging out again . I still am around Melynn quite a bit (pretty much all the time... waiting for her to get tired of me and kick my butt out) and if Melynn isn't on for some reason, I'm probably around rosie's, so I guess I come down to being either boring or loyal, you pick  .

My first night of There is really a blur because I played for 16 straight hours after I logged in for the first time. The only thing that really sticks out about that night is I went to a party at txpartyof5 and daredevil's house. Even though I reeked of n00b-ness, they were very nice and helpful.

haha when i 1st spawned all i see was the Desert. Then next thing i knew i was banged hard  by some flying object and flew in the air lol. i landed flat and looked distorted lol. Some girl  i forgot ran to me and taught me how to put force on lol .Zephyr was the only thing i knew for 2 days lol.(talk about noobness) lol. The 3rd day , i found out im like a frog in a well , i realised There is soo frickin big lol.Anyway i remember flying around and meeting oli's gang lol.  Oli ,serend1p1ty, kryten, mr.oizo. They showed me stuff and i learnt along the way. Yep and not long i met rosie and hollow1 in her house.She brought us around and popped our little cherry initiating us as standard members and no more being noobs lol. Along the way melynn tagged along so does tomv and green_latrine . its been a month and a half in there already  time passed real fast  Enjoy There

The first person I met was Minai (in the form of LeeLoo that day). She immediately left her chat group to help me when I said I was new. She took me to a spa and showed me how to customize my body. Then she gave me clothes! I was blown over by her kindness, but wait, it doesn't end there! Then she led me outside of Karuna and showed me buggies, boards and hoverpacks and let me try out one of each myself. Then she took me to see Egypt and showed me around the tomb.
She was very helpful and I'm still grateful for the time she took to teach me about There. Everyone needs to meet a Minai their first time in There!

i didn't talk to anyone more than five seconds when i first started playing.. i guess the first person i remember was a guy named Idti who lent me his board. then i spent about 3 days boarding around in my store-bought black tankini and my khaki cargos. haha.

Man, wow.. That first day was awesome.. most of it is a blur.. But I really can't forget ALL of such a unquie experience in the new addiction of mine, called There.
I spawned in a sea of white shirts.. I got fed up looking at Aral so I closed and decided to learn by doing, a nice female avie pulled me from the crown and Sigyn gave me a book.. I still didn't know how to walk lol so the girl avie helped me and we played a game of follow the leader... (I never got her name or a chance to say hi and thanx , but I'll be always grateful to her for patiently showing me the newbie ropes  ) Hey if this rings a bell, IM me!
I spent the rest of the day exploring and wandering when I took a chill in karuna and met Switch_79 who took me RPG_gamer and a few other who I'm completely blanking on, and took us on a whirlwind tour of There's hot spots and her fave hangouts, needless to say I was blown away and hooked on the whole experince.. I think I was on till close and talking to all sorts of folks in all sorts of places like Cherri and Lillie who offered to help me so much and were the first peeps I called my second day
I think I made like 15 buddies that day, apologies to the avies I missed and a 'hi5 to the great avies still with me today c5studio

Wow, I have to go old school on yaz...the first time i spawned into this wonderful world back on Jan 25, the first person I met was ADORA, she was queen of the newbie helpers. She would take us to the boneyard, loan us some gear and all that. She was great, she was my pre-Mackie. I miss her so!

I have a similar story. I spawned by Crows Nest Cafe and declined the help system. Big mistake! I wandered around for a bit and eventualy ran into someone. He told me a few things about there and I ended up trying to get into the Inferno Bar. I was trying to run into the door. I kept bashing into it! That took me a while to get the hang of that aciton circle. Later I went to Karuna and this nice perosn let me try his grommit hoverbaord. We went up the hill behind Karuna and flew around for a bit. I can't remember his name! Rats.
Later in Karuna some nice person gave me a pair of Mercuria flare pants (which I wear about every day) and a purple shirt with a lion in the front. I kick myslef now as I did not write down her name! If you are out there let me know. This was back in April. It was so nice to have something besides those new person clothes to wear!
My other memory was of a greeter in Hoverbaord park. I thought he was a bot! So I ran over him a few times!!!
Well he was spewing out the smae lines over and over again with macros I guess.
I later appologized a lot by IM!
I remember meeting Lloyd. He took me form Bali Hai to his travel clubhouse and up on the roof where he had built this deck thing.
I remember BigDaddy lending me his buggy several times. He had a bright pink one if I recall.
I remeber going to my class event where I met many other Arubians. And Minai and Gage of course. I had this cupon thing for a free class shirt...and I kept bugging Minai for the shirt. Probably started my obesssion with the class t-shirt designs! Anyhow I think i got mine at the reunion. I was so thrilled I forgot to take any screen shots until we had all been booted outside for the next event. I still wear my class shirt a lot.
Disky was looking over my shoulder the first night and she was all over the invite your friends program! So Disky was lucky and mannaged to get in the next week. I had been waiting since January to get in!
Overall my first experiences in there were fantastic! The people I met were helpful and nice and it was one of the things that made me want to help new people.

I arrived in Mirage and checked out a bit of Help. Wise move!
Then I watched in amusement as the noob in front of me was approached by Bud_Green. He was wearing a wild outfit including tattoos. The noob ran away from him and left me smiling. So, I walked up and Bud greeted me.
He was my first buddy. Then I im'd a friend from TSO who is number two on my list. Number three was Phedre, to whom Bud introduced me, and they both took me on a whirlwind tour of There.
I will never forget their helpfulness. Bud disappeared from There but it's so good to see him back. And Phedre...well, we all know and love her

Ahh, yes, my first day in There. I remember it fondly. I was supposed to seek out Diva, but I dont think I met her until my second day in There. But I remember July as being the first person I met. She gave me a nice top to wear. I also remember Hugsalot--he was very nice to me my first day--and also Greeter_Canuck--helped me a lot.

The first person I met was Scorpios, who sadly.. quit There months ago. Then, I remember Deathany and soon after I met Lukas and have pretty much stayed with him since.

When I first started there I had found out that my boyfriend had used my Avie and tried the game out and met Virtual Vicki. I myself took over my Avie and the first ppl I met were Race and Akira. I then met some fabulous girls named lacee and Moonshadow who helped me out and made me look not so noobish anymore...
After that I met FTR_Eddie and he introduced me to lots of wonderful ppl who are now like family to me. Eddie is still one of my best friends and I am glad we are still close.

The first person I met was CALVIN_J4. He was so nice to me, he took me on a tour for over two hours or so... Showed me different things.. And he kept in touch, which was awesome. He still there, and a great friend he is..
Then I met DREAMSPREE...wonderful girl.. she was so sweet to me, we were always together chillin doin our girl things... Much luv to you dream... We still keep in touch.. 
And lets not forget EDDIE hehehe was a pleasure meeting eddie. What a great friend he turned out to be. Always there when I need him to rescue me. hehe...
Then CLOUD.. which I havent seen him for a long time. I don't think he is playing anymore. Last time I heard from him was to say bye....
DAMION.... no longer plays either, but what a great friend..MUAHH!!! You swept me off my feet that very first night, and I haven't been the same since.

Lets see if I can remember this right. Logged in for the first time 5 min before There closed that night (way back in Feb). Was logged in until 9am the next morning. Can't remember who it was that I first spoke to, but the first real conversation I do remember was with Hugsalot and Jade and a large everchanging chat group. At some point I went to the field by the hoverboard park (to try out my free hoverboard... ) and meet Sammykun. We hung out for what seemed like hours hitting the ramps and playing follow the leader all over the islands.
During that first week and the following weeks I meet so many great friends. Many of whom have not logged in for quiet sometime but will never be removed from my buddies list.
Thank you to everyone I met when I first arrived in There and for all the great help.

The very first person I met was Jopy. =) Not even kidding. In like the first 15 minutes I was like hiding behind the sign in Karuna Plaza trying to figure out what all the buttons did and how to change out of those horrid newbie clothes and he came up and started talking to me and let me use his vehicles and stuff. Was very nice. Had a great time with him.

My first person i met was Bruhah1234 (i think thats the spelling) he had to go offline but he lent me a lot of his stuff, took me to karuna plaza and left me with a well known newbie helper(and i cant remember her name unfort) but she took me to the spa, taught me the ropes and took me a few places. I also remember Warmajik who took me around many places when i was a noob
